Saudi Arabian GP: Verstappen, Champion Victory In Arabia
'Mad' Max has scored his first victory of the season, ahead of Leclerc and with Sainz again third on the podium. Alonso has left due to a breakdown of the Alpine when he was seventh and Hamilton has starred in a sterile comeback (10th).
Max Verstappen has scored the first victory of the season at the Arabian Grand Prix after starring in a new high-intensity pulse with Charles Leclerc. The script of Bahrain has been repeated, but this time the champion's Red Bull has not failed and Leclerc has had to settle for second place. The podium has been completed once again by Carlos Sainz, while Fernando Alonso has left when he was running seventh, after suffering a failure in the power unit of his Alpine.
After Ferrari's double in the race that opened the season at the Sakhir circuit, Leclerc and Sainz started second and third, respectively, after Sergio Pérez's Red Bull, who yesterday got the first pole of his sports career against all odds. The Mexican kept his advantage, followed by Leclerc, while Verstappen, fourth, has won the position from Sainz.
Sparks fly in Alpine
Only 18 cars have started at Jeddah. Mick Schumacher was declared "fit" for the race after his crash on Saturday, but due to damage to his car and the logistics of moving to Australia in two weeks, Haas ruled him out. Tsunoda, with engine problems in his Alpha Tauri, was also unable to contest the second round of the calendar.

| Fernando Alonso's Steering Wheel: "Engine kill" 👊 |
Fernando Alonso has not been able to improve his seventh place from the start and has also seen how his teammate Esteban Ocon, sixth, blocked his path in an aggressive maneuver as soon as he tried to overtake him. From here on, an absurd fratricidal 'war' broke out between the two Alpines that allowed Russell to escape ahead, although the Briton, more than six seconds behind Sainz, was left in no man's land.
Alonso being the oldest driver on the grid (40) and with the most experience in all kinds of tricks in the race, Ocon ended up bowing down to the Spaniard. But everything has been sterile in the end, after the subsequent abandonment of Alonso due to a breakdown.
Safety car by Latifi
Only 1 Ferrari has 'cheated' Red Bull in his radio message about the first stop and 'Checo' has entered the pits to protect himself from Leclerc's non-existent 'undercut' and when he has returned to the track he has found a 'safety car' by Latifi's accident. A bad move that has left the Mexican driver third, with Leclerc and Verstappen in front and Sainz fourth. The man from Madrid has denounced an infringement of the safety car procedure and the Mexican has given him third place.
Hamilton comeback
Lewis Hamilton, who never gives up, started 15th after signing one of his worst classifications, but despite the problems to control a nervous Mercedes, the Briton has staged a fantastic comeback and after the first 'safety car' has placed in sixth position, in the wake of his teammate Russell. Lewis, winner here a year ago, has made the most of Pirelli's hard compound.

Ahead, Leclerc defended himself with all his weapons from the intense pressure to which he was subjected by the champion Verstappen, both with fast laps and repeating the script of the Bahrain race (until Max's car said enough). The Monegasque controlled the situation impeccably while waiting for the second stop, with a difference of around a second and a half, enough to avoid the DRS of his rival.
Alonso says goodbye
Thirteen laps from the end, Alonso 's radio has turned on the alarms: "No power". End of the adventure of the Asturian, who was seventh, almost at the same time as those of Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas , who also had to leave due to technical failure. The Australian's McLaren, stopped on the straight, has led to a new safety car.

The Australian's McLaren, stopped on the straight, has provided a new safety car, but the FIA has closed the pit lane and left Hamilton on the track with the same tires. The race resumed with nine laps to go and Verstappen literally fell on top of Leclerc . The two drivers, in the DRS zone, have raised the level of the show to the maximum, with overtaking to the limit, brushing against the wall, playing 'cat and mouse'. The harassment of the champion has intensified to the extreme, but Leclerc has given a real exhibition.
With three laps to go, 'Mad' Max has made good on his threat and passed Leclerc, although the Monegasque would still have one last chance. A yellow flag for the incident with Stroll and Albon has ruined the expectations of the final pulse and Verstappen has scored his first victory of the season, with Sainz again third on the podium.
