"I Thought Maradona Would Never Die" || Maradona Laid To Rest In The Presence Of Thousands Of Mourners

The great Argentine footballer Diego Maradona was buried in the capital Buenos Aires in the presence of thousands of mourners.

Maradona, captain of Argentina's 1986 World Cup-winning team, is considered one of football's greatest players and was buried in Bella Vista Cemetery on Thursday in the presence of his family and close friends.

The footballer, who had been battling cocaine addiction for decades, died on Wednesday at the age of 60, leaving the world in mourning.

"I thought Maradona would never die, I thought he would never die like us," Antonio Ovila, a 63-year-old Maradona fan and driver outside the cemetery, told AFP. I am very sad for the person who made us so happy.

Thousands of people flocked to Buenos Aires to pay their last respects to Maradona, adding to the Corona virus, adding to the difficulties for police and authorities in the country.

Clashes also broke out between police and football fans and police had to use tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the crowd.

In Naples, too, Maradona's fans took a unique approach to paying tribute to him, and all the players played football matches wearing his number 10 shirt.

Napoli's Napoli team was made two-time Italian champions by Maradona.

In Buenos Aires, the flag of the presidential palace was lowered in mourning for Maradona, and thousands of people took to the streets in the morning to pay their last respects to their favorite footballer.

Leaving the presidential palace, Maradona's body was taken to the cemetery under tight security, passing through the streets, coaches and markets of Buenos Aires.

Diego Armando, a 29-year-old bricklayer, was named after the great footballer and said he was the best footballer in the world, we will miss him and his death will break our hearts.

The great Brazilian footballer Pele also paid tribute to Maradona and said that hopefully one day we will play football together in the skies.

Footballers from around the world, including current Argentine star Lionel Messi, have paid tribute to Maradona for his outstanding services and outstanding professionalism.

Maradona died of a heart attack and underwent brain surgery earlier this month.

Maradona was born on October 30, 1960, to a poor family in Lance, south of Buenos Aires.

He came to prominence with a goal called "Hand of God" against England in the quarter-finals of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico City.

In this match, he dodged the English goalkeeper and used his fist to score a goal, saying that some of it was Maradona's own head and some was God's hand.

Moments later in the same match, he dodged six English defenders from the half-line and scored the second goal alone, which was called the 'best goal of the century' by FIFA.

His career took off in 1986 when he led Argentina to the title.

Thanks to him, the Argentine team managed to reach the final of the next World Cup played in 1990, but this time West Germany avenged its defeat in the 1986 final and won the title.

Before the 1994 World Cup, his dope test was positive, which prevented him from participating in the World Cup, and his illustrious career came to a disappointing end.

One of the reasons for this disappointing end to his career was his drug and alcohol use, which caused him problems in his private life as well.

The story of Maradona's introduction to drugs is as interesting as his life.

The footballers were very talented from their youth, they were signed by Barcelona after seeing their excellent performance in Baku Juniors, they were signed by the Italian club Napoli after the misbehavior in Barcelona.

In Napoli he made the club champions of the Italian League in 1987 and 1990 and since then the club has not won a single title. Their relationship developed, which resulted in them being supplied with drugs.

After becoming addicted to drugs, Maradona suffered a permanent decline in his private and professional life and eventually passed away.
