First T20: Pakistan Beat Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe had given Pakistan a target of 157 runs to win the first T20 match which Pakistan easily achieved in 18.5 overs at a loss of 4 wickets.

In the first match of the three-match T20 series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe scored 156 for 6 while playing first.


In the match played at Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi, the Zimbabwe captain won the toss and elected to bat first.


Pakistan T20 captain Babar Azam said that if I had won the toss, I would have decided to bat first.


He said that he would play positive and fearless cricket and try to get Zimbabwe out as soon as possible.


Usman Qadir, son of late Pakistan legend league spinner Abdul Qadir, is making his T20 debut.


Babar Azam is leading the Pakistan T20 team and Fakhr Zaman, Haider Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Khushdal Shah, Fahim Ashraf, Wahab Riaz, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Hasnain will also be part of the team.


It may be recalled that Pakistan had won the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe by two to one.


So far 11 T20 matches have been played between Pakistan and Zimbabwe and Pakistan has won all of them.
